Our Youth – Our Future

Our goal will be to encourage lodges to expand the scope of their Youth Activities within and beyond their lodge.  To interact with youth, we interact with family, friends and the community, thereby expanding our circle of contact as well.  Youth Activities encompasses many of the core programs of our organization, and has the potential to help build Elkdom through this network of activities.  Use your imagination to enhance existing programs that have proven to be successful in your lodge.  Create new and exciting events that will welcome the community through youth participation. 

I look forward to working with co-Chair Adrianne Castaneda and all of our Youth Activities chairs and their committees.  These activities and events support our youth by providing opportunities to participate in areas or showcase skills that are outside their routine experiences, reinforcing self-confidence and personal growth.  The hope is that the Elks component will be a memorable experience, and foster a continuing connection with the families as the youth are the gateway to the parents.
