Nevada City Lodge No. 518 donated $400 to provide postage to send 35 packages to the troops in Afghanistan. The packages were donated by Placer County employees and assembled by Alison Angulo, a member of the Nevada City Elks Lodge. Alison is pictured putting the packages together.  Each bag contained a Christmas card from the Nevada City Elks thanking them for their service and wishing them a Merry Christmas.
