The gift of communication, the promise of the future–with thanks to the Elks. Our highly trained Elks Major Project Speech-Language Pathologists can diagnose a variety of communication disorders and coordinate a home program of therapy with the parent.

Many speech-language problems are addressed by the staff, including swallowing or feeding difficulties.

Our Elk's Speech-Language Pathologists are dedicated to helping children and their families. They seek to improve communication skills, social and cognitive development. Children's communication skills are fostered by providing quality interactions through talking, playing, and reading. The mission of our Speech Therapists is to help our children achieve their full potential for communication, building self-confidence and fostering stronger relationships.

Our team of Speech-Language Pathologists hold master's degrees and are certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).

Our team provides speech and language evaluations and therapy services for a wide range of communication disorders:

  • Language, Articulation, and Phonology
  • Childhood Apraxia of Speech
  • Fluency
  • Social-Emotional Augmentative Communication
  • Executive Functioning
  • Feeding and Swallowing

Our Program is uniquely designed to provide individualized treatment in the home setting with a strong emphasis on parent education and coaching.

Cleft Palate, hearing imparment, articulation disorder, language delay, stuttering, even swallowing or feeding problems require therapy as a prerequisite for speech: all these and more are addressed by the Elks Speech-Language Pathologist.
